The result of the discussion was: rename. Good Ol’factory (talk) 03:01, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: rename per actual content, the subcategories are by city instead by province. Also reparent to Category:Sport in Sri Lanka by city instead of Category:Sport in Sri Lanka by province. Marcocapelle (talk) 17:45, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Films featuring anthropomorphic mice[edit]

The result of the discussion was: rename to Category:Animated films about mice. There is a rough consensus to rename to "Animated films about ..." something. In considering "mice and rats" or "rodents", I noted that Category:Animated films about rats already exists and is separate from the categories about mice. So renaming to the mice option for now; users could propose that it be merged with Category:Animated films about rats in a future nomination, because the parent category is a combined Category:Films about mice and rats. Good Ol’factory (talk) 01:03, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Non-defining category, per WP:NONDEF. One could argue that all films about mice have anthropomorphized them in some way, otherwise it would be a pure nature documentary, so it goes without saying. An alternate possibility could be renaming the category to Category:Animated films about mice and rats and merging into it Category:Animated films about rats, since all the movies in this category are also animated.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 16:01, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: no consensus. There was good discussion and I feel that this was inching closer to a consensus. I would recommend a re-nomination in order to clarify the proposal that has been discussed. I think if the discussion was clearer on what the current proposal is it would attract more comments. Also, Category:Chinese orchestras was not tagged with Template:Cfr. Good Ol’factory (talk) 01:08, 19 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Align Category:China orchestras with Category:Orchestras by nationality (Western style symphony orchestras). Rename Category:Chinese orchestras to Category:Traditional chinese orchestras (Chinese orchestras). intforce (talk) 15:41, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete Category:West Texas, merge Category:Baseball venues in West Texas to Category:Baseball venues in Texas. Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:59, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: A subjective category, the article West Texas itself gives multiple definitions of this region and describes it as "loosely defined." Also nomination Category:Baseball venues in West Texas. User:Namiba 14:43, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: rename to Category:Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922) leaving behind a category redirect. (non-admin closure) --Trialpears (talk) 22:12, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: The category definition of the nominated category states that "Asia Minor Catastrophe (Greek: Μικρασιατική Καταστροφή) is the Greek historiographical term for the Greco-Turkish War (1919–1922)." It appears, then, that it is a duplicate of the target category. We don't need a content fork here. Good Ol’factory (talk) 05:21, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge per nom. Marcocapelle (talk) 21:27, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge but leave redirect to prevent re-creation. I note that the main article is a redirect to the same target (as an article). Peterkingiron (talk) 18:18, 20 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge per nom. --Just N. (talk) 17:54, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was: delete. Good Ol’factory (talk) 02:57, 26 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Nominator's rationale: Contains only the main article and 9 redirects to that same article. Many of the redirects are synonymous with each other. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 03:58, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete per nom, no need to merge either since the redirects all link to an article that is already in the same tree. Marcocapelle (talk) 21:31, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Delete as Marcocapelle's commentary is convincing. --Just N. (talk) 17:56, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Nominator's rationale: Per WP:NONDEFINING (WP:PERFCAT and WP:OCAWARD)
When foreign leaders visit Madagascar, or vice versa, the National Order of Madagascar is given out as souvenir to commemorate the visit. Mohammed VI of Morocco, Levi Eshkol and Anne Princess Royal are not remotely defined by this award. (There is one person in this category who is defined by their association with Madagascar, Romain Bruno Légaré, but his article only mentions the award in passing and is already well categorized.) The contents are already listified here in the main article for any reader interested in the topic. - RevelationDirect (talk) 00:06, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Recipients of the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky[edit]

Nominator's rationale: Per WP:NONDEFINING (WP:PERFCAT, WP:OCAWARD)
According to the main article, the first time the imperial Russian Order of Saint Alexander Nevsky was issued was to 12 guests at the wedding of Grand Duchess Anna Petrovna of Russia and Charles Frederick, Duke of Holstein-Gottorp. Promises were made to take the award more seriously but it increasingly became a souvenir for diplomatic visits: George V, Haakon VII of Norway, Albert I of Belgium, Abbas II of Egypt and Charles X are not remotely defined by this award. Even among the many Russian recipients, the award does not seem defining and generally get a passing reference along with other honours. There wasn't a list so I created one right here in the main article for any reader interested in the topic. - RevelationDirect (talk) 00:06, 17 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
